Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to dress in the appropriate
attire for the class being presented.

Each student is expected to act responsibly and take the consequences for his/her action or inaction as
appropriate.
An atmosphere of respect will be expected of all within the classroom.


Any open displays of prejudice, harassment, etc. will not be tolerated.


Any student who disrupts the classroom will be asked to leave and will receive a zero on all work due that
day and will be counted as absent for the day.


A second disruption by that student will be grounds for the student to be administratively dropped from
the class and other disciplinary action will be taken as appropriate.


There will be no smoking, dipping, chewing tobacco or use of profane language in the classroom.


Cell Phone Policy
Cell phone usage is prohibited in the classroom and during lab sessions. All cell phones will be put away
and/or shut off during class. If a need or a situation arises such as an emergency the student will be
required to leave the room to use the phone.


Participation Policy (Attendance)


Specail note for this class concerning attendance: This class (because of OHSA regulations) has
minimum requiresments for time spent in the class room and on required subject matter. Not coming to
class, being late for class and /or leaving early could result in you having to retake the class. Make sure
you are on time and attend each class as scheduled.


A student upon their 6th absence will be issued a course grade of "F". When attendance roll is called at
the beginning of class and you do not answer you will be considered absent.


Make-up Work


You are responsible for arranging to make-up missed work with proper documentation.
If you miss any Quizzes or Daily Labs it will be counted as a "0"!


Quizzes- No make-up for missed quizzes.

 

Tests - No make-tests for missed tests.

Supplies - Every time you come to lab you must bring (but not limited to) the required supplies, required
tools, test equipment, lab book, textbook and/or handouts. Points will be deducted for failing to bring
these supplies.


You will be expected to complete any and all labs during the allotted time frame.


Conduct - No food, no drink, no tobacco products, no horseplay.


Breaks - Breaks are allowed at your choosing on a limited basis. Be sure you will have time to complete
the lab.


Cheating / Plagiarism Policy
TSTC expects all students to engage in scholastic pursuits in a manner that is beyond reproach. Students
are expected to maintain complete honesty and integrity. Any student found guilty of scholastic
dishonesty is subject to disciplinary action. Scholastic dishonesty includes, but is not limited to, cheating
on academic work (such as copying, bribing, or buying/selling tests), plagiarism (claiming another’s work
as one’s own without acknowledgement INCLUDING Internet data), and collusion (unauthorized

The instructor holds the right to change and/or alter this class as needed through the semester at
their discretion.

All students in this course will comply with all general safety rules, which apply to the type of activity in
progress in each class. Violation of course safety rules can result in grade penalties and/or other
appropriate disciplinary action.
